Henrik José is an electronic music producer from Sweden, currently based in Berlin, Germany.
He started releasing computer produced music in 1997 under the name of Bliss. Between 1997 and 2004 he released numerous singles and EP’s, often as part of the legendary computer demo scene but also with Netlabel pioneers such as Monotonik and Kahvi Collective.
Since 2007 he has been releasing music under his own name, Henrik José. Henrik’s music finds itself in between vocal driven pop and suggestive experimental electronic music. Aiming to always bring something new and personal to the table, simple melodies and repetitive elements combined with a focus on sound design and rhythm makes for an easy listen without becoming familiar and uninteresting.
Henrik has a background as a VJ and visual artist and has done live visuals for numerous artists in the electronic dance music scene. He’s also produced visual content for the Swedish National Theatre (Riksteatern) and produced sound and music for other visual artists.
At the moment Henrik is spending much time in his Berlin studio, always working on new music but also on collaborations and remixes.
